Nadia Hyder, Senior Researcher

Qualifications: Bachelor of Medical Science, PgDip Drug and Alcohol Studies , University of Glasgow

Nadia is our senior researcher.  She moved into social research in 2014 after completing a postgraduate diploma in Drug and Alcohol Studies from the University of Glasgow.  Since joining our team more than five years ago, she has worked on a vast range of projects and has built strong relationships with our clients.

Nadia has very strong qualitative research, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.  She is highly experienced in undertaking individual interviews and running focus group discussions. Often the discussions are sensitive in nature and involve working with vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, exploring their experiences, strengths and barriers to participation.  Nadia brings an empathetic but professional approach. 

Prior to joining our team, she worked at the NHS Addiction Support Team within HMP Barlinnie, where she gained valuable experience of working and liaising with multidisciplinary teams, around health and wellbeing issues.

Nadia often leads and manages research projects at local and national level.  She has excellent evaluative skills and is experienced in undertaking outcomes focused evaluations.
